Data Privacy in the Modern Age

Like the article before in the modern age we are going to have to deal with being aware of where our information, either it private or not, is being shared. In the article it states there are big computers to take in information and processes it and puts it into different bins where they are stored. As always there is a big fear of someone stealing valuable information that can be used against you or taken from you. But i feel it is up to us to keep tract of where the information is going and we use it. Also we need to stay up to date on how companies or people are getting information and where it is being stored and used. Simple things as letting an app use your location all the way up to your financial records. As long as we keep ourselves informed of the ongoing modern age of technology and information, the better off we will be when making those decisions.

Data Worth

After reading the article I find it very informative! It interesting to think that little pieces of our data are being recorded and then sold to companies to gather information about their users. Its crazy to think that even something as little as you were sick today can be sold off to help you find ways or get information about it. Now some will say that they are taking private information and using it for their own gain. Which is true but im a true believer in that most companies that do buy information use it to help their customers more than actually using it for self gain.

CCS and school summary

Capitalistic- you pay for your own school, every school is private, you decide what you want to do and there is no financial aid from the government.

Socialistic-  there are mostly public schools but some are private, the public schools are free to attend, you decide what kind of a career you want to have and you can get quite a bit of financial aid from the government

Communistic- all the schools are public, the government decides what kind of career you would do best and you are forced to do that line of work.

Minimum Wage

I believe that minimum wage should not be raised. Huffingtonpost states that if the minimum wage gets raised to 15 dollars, families will be out of the poverty level and make more money to support their families. Which is true to a point, but if this happens the minimum wage is raised then all the goods will be raised also. Making everything inflated so there will be not much of a change. Salon.com says that it will be "good for the economy"  because with more money being made, it will mean more money into the economy and fix the government debt. Which is not true because just because the price goes up does not mean that there will be more money. All it does is raise the price on everything from food to gas to home products. I think that huffingtonpost has a point where they say that 47 million Americans live in poverty and that an increase in minimum wage will fix that. But they are not thinking about the inflation that occurs with that. As I said before the increase in minimum wage will just raise taxes and products value and actually cause more people to lose their jobs because the companies can't afford to pay the increase in minimum wage. So in conclusion raising minimum wage will not help because since the salary goes up the inflation that occurs goes up as well.
